Help me get back into BBG

Hey peoples. I redownloaded BBG to try and get back into the game. My main problem is that I don't really have a button loadout that I like. I've got an HTC Desire 510 and I only really want to use double tap to fire. Any help good sirs and madams?

I recently re downloaded BBG too, and found that a lot has changed. At first I tried to use the same loadouts and button (double tap to shoot) that I'd use in July 2013. But the truth is that it's almost impossible to use double tap and still be efficient jumping to avoid being damaged. Therefore my suggestion is to simply get used to the shoot button. At first it's weird, but you'll get used to it. As for the button loadout I keep:
-moving thing on the bottom left
    -Jump button in bottom right
    -special item over jump button
    -melee left of jump button
    -shoot button over melee button
    -don't have radar

    Hope I helped :)

I prefer double tap because I got too used to it before they added the shoot button.

As for button layout, the only thing that should be changed if you want to is radar position if you are using a smaller device and/or team speaks for same reason. Those complicated jump and shoot mechanics aren't needed that often IMO

    @BEASTLY585‌

Is it really worth it to learn how to use the button? How long did it take you?

I would do that, but I don't remember what that is.

The absolute only changes I every really made to my button layout was swapping the position of the teamspeak button and my radar, which I keep on the left side of the screen. Seems to work better that way. I've tried placing radar in other areas, but putting it where teamspeak is by default and swapping it's placement with the teamspeak button works best for me.

I've been using double-tap since launch-day, so I'm comfortable with it, even with aiming. I can effectively change my aim rapidly, especially while in the air, and I know the limits to it, which is why I have my sensitivity at a pretty decent position.

It's really up to you. I've tried the button on more then one occasion, and it honestly doesn't feel as smooth or as easy to react as double-tap is. In fact, the button feels really stiff to me, plus I prefer to use only two fingers when I play. Shoot button gives me the impression I'd need to use three, and I don't want that hassle.

Took me a week or so, now I'm pretty pro at using it. Works way better with aiming

I'm forced to use a phone to play since the game's unplayable on my iPad, but for that I put my jump button at the top left corner, and the special button on top of it, but a little bit to the right. Lets you use the left side of the screen a bit more so you can have more control over what you want to shoot and which buttons you need to use if you need to jump or use a special while you're shooting. If I had a picture I would put it up but I don't have access to the phone right now.

My advice is to go mess around in tutorial until you find a layout that suits you, then mess around in tutorial some more until you get used to the movement, aiming, etc.

I also use double tap. I don't like shoot button mostly because of how I place it, where I can't turn right while shooting.

How do I get to legacy again? I feel like that would be a good starting place.

That seems like the best way to do it, but then I get in a game and I'll have to nave around in crazy ways that I just can't think of in the tutorial mode.
